Promega and Beckman Coulter recently held a series of four seminars focussed on optimising laboratory productivity in genetic analysis
The seminars included presentations and practical demonstrations illustrating the benefits of the Promega/Beckman Coulter collaboration in accelerating laboratory throughput.
Delegates were able to see Promega chemistries combined with Beckman Coulter's robotic technologies and other automated instrumentation.
A presentation from visiting scientist, Craig Smith, Promega, highlighted the flexibility and scalability of automated genetic analysis systems.
His talk: 'Genomics to diagnostics: a complete array of automated nucleic acid purification solutions', provided an excellent overview of the effectiveness of the latest tools in accelerating throughput, based on recent results obtained with pharmaceutical industry users.
"These systems have the potential to streamline and accelerate laboratory processing capabilities," Dr Smith commented, "and will be of benefit to drug discovery laboratories and other high throughput users." Tim Ward, European marketing manager, liquid handling systems, Beckman Coulter, added, "The seminars were an ideal opportunity to demonstrate a wide variety of automated genetic analysis solutions that we now offer as a result of our collaboration with Promega.
It was also the ideal occasion for Promega and Beckman Coulter to talk with customers face-to-face about their laboratory processing needs."
