The entry level DS-96 microplate solvent evaporator from Porvair Sciences uses heated nitrogen injection to enable cost effective evaporation of solvents
Replacing traditional techniques that typically take hours to remove solvents from a 96-well microplate, the DS-96, takes just minutes to dry down a plate.
Injecting heated nitrogen directly into the 96 wells of the microplate simultaneously the DS-96 accommodates both deep and shallow 96-well microplates.
The height of the dryer is fully adjustable allowing the head of the dryer to be lowered as solvents evaporate producing the fastest dry down times.
The compact DS-96 is simple to install, operate and maintain.
Installation just requires connection to a gas supply and standard mains socket, safety of operation is ensured as the CE marked compact unit fits into all fume cupboards. Supplied with straight needles as standard, there is also the option of the novel curved needle, which produces a vortex as the gas is released.
This option is particularly useful if the fastest concentration time is critical or if the unit has to be used unheated, as is the case with some volatile or thermally unstable compounds.
