Optical characteristics, coupled with short focal length and high numerical aperture based on exceptional aspherical designs, ensures a compact and lightweight lens
Photonic Products has added Panasonic's range of aspherical glass lenses to its portfolio of optoelectronic components, which already includes high performance plastic lenses, laser line generators, laser diode collimators and laser diode modules.
The optical characteristics achieved by Panasonic's unique One-Shot precision moulding method, a short focal length, and a high numerical aperture based on exceptional aspherical designs ensure a compact and lightweight lens, enabling devices using these lenses to be both smaller and lighter, with higher performance, says the company.
Focal lengths range from 0.69mm to 20.00mm, numerical apertures from 0.097 to 0.65 and mechanical diameters from 1.7mm to 8.2mm.
The high quality of the materials used optimises lens designs for many applications including pick-up lenses for optical drive devices, collimator lenses for laser diodes, coupling lenses for optical communication systems and image formation lenses for sensors.
