Qiagen BioRobot Twister I robotic arm systems provide efficient and reliable transfer of microplates and other labware between laboratory instruments
As well as moving microplates around efficiently, BioRobot Twister I robotic arms are versatile plate storage instruments, providing walkaway automation of sequential tasks for more efficient workflow.
The arms integrate with BioRobot workstations and a wide range of external instruments for fully automated processing of serial applications.
They are compatible with an expanding range of external instruments such as, spectrophotometers, plate sealers, thermal cyclers, and plate storage devices for total integration of automated systems.
Their software is fully compatible with QIAsoft, the BioRobot operating system, ensuring a fast startup and centralised process control. The Twister I is provide with two integral input and output plate stackers, with capacity for up to 20 microplates in each.
Three more stackers can be added, increasing storage capacity to 80 microplates and allowing longer unattended processing.
These systems are also compatible with deep-well blocks, disposable tips and other labware with the same base dimensions.
Qiagen says its robotic systems are not available in all countries.
