An enhanced security module for software used in conjunction with powder flow analyser and other texture analysis instrumentation
At Powtech/TechnoPharm, Stable Micro Systems is launching an enhanced security module for its Exponent software used in conjunction with its powder flow analyser and other texture analysis instrumentation.
A number of advanced features has been incorporated into the module, developed in accordance with the FDA CFR21 part 11 guidelines, covering electronic record and signature management.
In particular, this will help customers operating in regulated markets, such as food and pharmaceuticals, improve system security and track results.
Used with Stable Micro Systems's powder flow analyser and other instruments, the Exponent software will demonstrate its abilities as one of the most accurate and reliable methods for measuring the flow characteristics of dry and wet powders, says Stable.
This helps manufacturers understand and consequently avoid problems with batch and source variation of ingredients, caking during storage, bridging in hoppers and sticking during production.
It also enables rapid statistical data analysis and report generation, while pre-set tests allow ease of use for the operator.
The facility to write new methods, measure additional characteristics and optimise settings are important extra features.
An encrypted password protection to log-on, and for validating calibration checks, allows operators to benefit from added security.
In addition, multiple hierarchical levels of user profiles are available, coupled with electronic signatures for record certification.
Another important feature is the ability to copy and print out audit trails, allowing clear visibility to trace results and records.
Other products on show at Stable Micro Systems' stand are the TA.XTplus and TA.HDplus texture analysers.
Technical staff will be available on the stand to demonstrate a range of accessories relevant to the food, pharmaceuticals and other manufacturing sectors.
Stable Micro Systems is in hall 9, stand 9-627, at Powtech, 16-18 March 2004, Nurenberg, Germany.
