Range of electrophoresis gel units has been expanded with the introduction of three new horizontal units giving the advantage of more samples without compromising volume
The Scie-Plas range of electrophoresis gel units has been expanded following the introduction of three new horizontal units, the Wide Mini-Plus, the Wide Midi and the Long Midi.
These new models enhance and extend the total Scie-Plas Green range of horizontal electrophoresis units to ten individual models.
The new wide format Mini-Plus HU10W gel size 14.4x10.2cm, is a wider version of the Mini-Plus HU10 unit and provides users with the advantage of more samples per gel, without compromising per well sample volume.
This unit incorporates the benefits of the economical low buffer volume feature of the HU10 unit and features a removable UV transparent gel casting tray with casting gates.
This allows the gel to be cast either in the running tank or externally.
The wide format Midi Gel HU13W, is a wider version of the 'best-selling' Scie-Plas Midi HU13.
Two sizes of gel tray are available for this unit, 23x14cm and 23x10cm, offering users even more flexibility.
Again, the wide format enables users to load more samples per gel without compromising per well sample volume.
The maximum sample capacity for this unit is 200 per gel, easily allowing samples from two 96 well plates to be loaded on a single gel.
The 25 and 50 sample combs for this unit are also multi-channel pipette compatible for fast and efficient gel loading.
This unit has the buffer volume and re-circulation features of the HU13 unit and so is designed for longer, analytical runs.
The long format Midi horizontal unit, the HU13L, with a gel size 13x25cm, gives users the ability to run samples over a 25cm distance and is specialised for high resolution analytical research.
It has a similar run length to the Scie-Plas large format Maxi and Maxi-plus units, but without the need for pouring very large and hard to manipulate gels.
This also gives economical, agarose saving advantages.
