Software allows users to rapidly generate high quality images of samples that are normally too bright or dark for the camera to capture
Syncroscopy, supplier of digital imaging solutions for microscopy applications, introduces Quantage - its unique, new dynamic range imaging system.
This software allows users to rapidly generate high quality images of samples that are normally too bright or dark for the camera to capture.
Quantage is simple to use and works by automatically capturing a series of images taken at different exposure times from a remotely controlled camera.
The content of each image is assessed and those areas that are emitting too much or too little light are combined to produce one perfectly exposed image.
The Quantage image can then be visualised, analysed, printed, or stored for later use.
For analysis, live images generated via Quantage can be viewed in full colour using AcQuis, Syncroscopy's colour image capture software, or as an infinite depth of focus image with Auto-Montage, Syncroscopy's system for generating complete images of three-dimensional samples.
Quantage can create images with over 64,000 light intensity levels ensuring users can capture and analyse even faint areas.
This makes it ideal for accurate sample quantification, which will be of particular benefit to microscopists using fluorescent samples emitting light levels too low for a camera to photograph adequately.
Bob Town, Syncroscopy's general sales manager, commented: "Quantage is superb for working with difficult to visualise samples because it illuminates dark areas while also eliminating light flaring.
For a quick, convenient way of producing perfect images of fluorescent or three-dimensional samples, Quantage is the best choice for any AcQuis and Auto-Montage user."
