Based on wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence (XRF) technology, the ARL Optim'x exhibits an excellent resolution on light elements ranging from fluorine to chlorine, thus optimising the analysis of the oxides contained in metallurgical slags (Na2O, MgO, Al2O3 and SiO2).
The instrument delivers increased sensitivity and provides a cost-effective solution compared to other instruments currently available on the market.
The instrument's innovative goniometer - the SmartGonio - can be configured to cover all elements from fluorine to uranium in sequential mode.
Two fixed monochromator channels for specific elements can be fitted alongside the SmartGonio to reduce analysis time.
This means that configurations can be maximised with the addition of fixed channels, which is particularly useful for the analysis of less sensitive elements such as fluorine.
