Compact servo and microstepper drives provide enhanced dynamic performance and improved efficiency through the use of advanced field-orientated digital current-control technology
Parker Hannifin's electromechanical automation division has announced an expansion to its MX80 family of high-precision, low profile miniature positioners - permitting rapid linear translation and precise positioning within very small working envelopes.
The MX80L linear motor stage offers travels of up to 150mm and high dynamic performance with speeds of up to 2m/s and acceleration rates up to 5g.
Precision grade stages offer exceptional straightness and flatness of travel and position repeatability to +/-0.4µm, with encoder resolutions down to 10nm, while anti-cage creep bearings are incorporated to ensure minimum maintenance - even at high accelerations.
This high performance product is packed into a low-profile cross sectional area of only 80x25mm.
The MX80S is a screw-driven variant offering thrusts up to 123N and speed of 200mm/s - packaged with a choice of servo or stepper motors.
Alternatively the MX80M features a variety of micrometer driven positioners and free travel slides, providing an ideal mechanism for smooth, low-friction precision linear guidance.
The LX80L has been designed as an extension to the MX80L family, offering extended travel distances of up to 750mm.
With a load capacity of up to 10kg, the LX80L incorporates recirculating square rail bearings - providing the benefits of increased load and moment capacity in combination with greater stiffness.
Complete with cable management, linear encoder and limit sensors - all within a package cross-section of just 45x67mm - the LX80L can be combined easily with other MX80 stages to create a highly dynamic multi-axis system.
Described as perfectly suited for use in combination with the MX80 family of miniature positioners, the ViX family of compact servo and microstepper drives provide enhanced dynamic performance and improved efficiency through the use of advanced field-orientated digital current-control technology.
Suitable for use in both single- and multi-axis applications, ViX-series drives can accept streamed commands from either a host computer or CanOpen fieldbus, can be pre-programmed for standalone operation or accept industry standard command signals from an external motion controller.
