Mobile communications integrated tester supplied to increase on-site laboratory capabilities to prove the conformance of cellular mobile terminals to international specifications
Cetecom, a provider of wireless test solutions, has supplied the Mint (mobile communications integrated tester) system to 7 Layers UK, to increase its on-site laboratory capabilities to prove the conformance of cellular mobile terminals to international specifications and global certification requirements.
7 Layers UK is member of the international 7 Layers group for the wireless communications industry, with a highly efficiently organised network of InterLab test and service centres.
Cetecom Spain has installed at 7 Layers UK the validated Mint RF conformance tester featuring quad-band (850/900/1800/1900) GSM/GPRS/Edge/AMR testing capabilities.
This platform is one of the three validated platforms for radio frequency testing according to the GCF and PTCRB criteria and it is being supplied to enhance the service portfolio that 7 Layers UK is offering.
Andres Moreno, telecommunications director at Cetecom Spain, said: "7 Layers is one of the leading engineering and test service providers within the mobile communications industry, and being selected by it as test system supplier confirms that our product is being positioned as one of the best options for conformance testing.
"7 Layers UK's experience is very high and they have a deep understanding of what the mobile market needs.
"To select a profitable test tool is not an easy task; several factors such as test time, maintenance costs, technical capabilities and equipment price make the decision a complicated one, and we are sure that Mint is the best solution currently available in the market".
Laurence Richardson, managing director at 7 Layers UK, commented: "Working with Cetecom Spain on the selection of the test system has been a pleasing experience for us from the very first contact to the delivery of the test system on time".
