Workshop at Manchester Metropolitan University, Geoffrey Manton Building, on 20 April 2005, covers hardness, modulus, adhesion and toughness measurements at the nano and micro scale level
Micro Materials claims to be a world leader in nanomechanical testing instruments.
Its NanoTest incorporates a hot stage to allow indentation at temperatures in excess of 500C.
New developments include a piezo stage and liquid cell.
This workshop presents a chance to find out more about hardness, modulus, adhesion and toughness measurements at the nano and micro scale level.
Some guest speakers together with Micro Materials will give an overview of the techniques and then some examples of the work currently being undertaken.
There will be an opportunity for delegates to also attend a practical session the following day at Micro Materials, Wrexham, Clwyd, although the session will be limited to six people.
This is a free meeting, open to all.
