High intensity, very uniform light source mimics the sun's spectrum, enabling a wide range of devices and products to be tested for their response to sunlight
The Small Beam Solar Simulator from Sciencetech represents an essential research tool at an affordable price, says Astranet.
By providing a high intensity, very uniform light source which mimics the sun's spectrum, solar simulation systems enable a wide range of devices and products to be tested for their response to sunlight.
Using the Small Beam Solar Simulator, light can be delivered to the target via a flexible fibre bundle, a hand-held probe, or by direct illumination.
As AstraNet MD Mike Mills explains: "With excellent performance, versatility and a low basic unit cost of less than GBP4000, the Small Beam Solar Simulator will be an ideal tool for many university departments.
Applications include research into photovoltaic cells and laboratory testing for UV stability".
AstraNet Systems offers the complete range of Sciencetech solar simulators from 150W to 1.6kW
