Southern Vision Systems (SVSi) announces the release of MemView - a high-speed memory camera capable of capturing up to 500 full frames per second of 1280x1024 imagery.
MemView is said to be ideal for capturing high-speed events such as munitions explosions, motion analysis, laser firings, bio-analysis, and projectile tracking, and is capable of higher frame rates for smaller image sizes.
MemView allows users arbitrary frame size adjustability and comes standard with acquisition and playback software.
Other out-of-the-box features include multiple trigger options, frame subtraction capabilities, analogue video output, and a USB-2 interface.
MemView offers users multiple memory options, starting at 1GB (1.5 seconds) and expanding up to 8GB (12 seconds).
The MemView camera is SVSi's third product, following the SpecterView virtual photodetector and the Mavis machine vision system.
A primary differentiator vs other high-speed memory cameras is SVSi's ability to add-on IRIG timing and the SpecterView virtual photodetector functionality, combining high-speed memory with detailed image analysis.
