Growth is in chromatography instrumentation and consumables business, and in preparation for three new product lines to be launched in the summer
Just two years after moving into larger premises, SMI-LabHut (formerly Science Marketing International) is adding further space by absorbing the adjacent unit in its business park near Gloucester, UK.
The expansion has been necessitated by the growth the company has seen in its chromatography instrumentation and consumables business and in preparation for three new product lines to be launched in the summer, it says.
Specialising in international marketing and development for smaller chromatography product manufacturers, SMI-LabHut has grown from the western European market to managing a network of more than 100 distributors in over 50 countries during its 11 years of business.
The company plans to complement its vials and filter business with the introduction of HPLC columns, SPE consumables and further expansion in its tablet dissolution products.
Managing director Mark Wardle commented that "in this competitive market, good, quick distributor support, combined with quality product is paramount.
"The increased space will allow us to continue this successful strategy."
