Annual software update focuses on ease of use, with improvements to visualisation and analysis, multi-user support, improved speed and robustness of data management
Cellomics announces the availability of its yearly software update, HCi 2005.
HCi 2005 is available for all ArrayScan (3.1/4.0, x.5) HCS reader, KineticScan HCS reader and vHCS Discovery ToolBox platforms.
HCi 2005 adds numerous updates and enhancements to Cellomics's software applications.
With the main focus on ease of use, improvements have been made to visualisation and analysis, multi-user support, improved speed and robustness of data management.
These software enhancements improve user productivity by addressing key 'pain' points in HCS workflow and respond to input from Cellomics's customer base.
Commenting on the release, Jeffrey Haskins, VP of technology and product development at Cellomics, said: "With the continued adoption of HCS throughout the drug discovery and academic research community we continue to receive valuable feedback regarding how we could improve our products; we've listened closely and HCi 2005 is the result.
"Customers will receive many useful features that they've asked for, such as improved multi-user protocol management, easy links between visualisation and analysis, usability improvements and enhancements to data management.
"In addition, HCi 2005 deploys our new informatics infrastructure to support the optional HCS Gateway product that brings the power of Cellomics's HCi software platform to licensed third party HCS instruments".
In response to the increasing interest in live-cell kinetic measurements, especially from predictive toxicology and systems biology groups, Cellomics has significantly enhanced the biological utility of the KineticScan HCS reader by incorporating its complete portfolio of V2 BioApplication image analysis software on this instrument.
This enables users with a common set of image analysis tools for both kinetic and fixed endpoint measurements resulting in considerable productivity and efficiency gains.
"We are delighted by the valuable and expansive customer input that has driven our development of HCi 2005 to directly address their HCS needs.
"HCi 2005 is provided at no charge to all customers who are currently under warranty or have coverage via maintenance and support contract..
"This builds on Cellomics's ethos of constant, active improvement of our HCS technology to improve customer productivity" remarked Dan Calvo, president and CEO of the company.
