InforSense's integrative analytics technology, InforSense KDE, won top honours in the knowledge management and collaboration category at the Bio-IT world conference and expo
InforSense won best of show for knowledge management and collaboration at the Bio-IT World Conference and Expo held in Boston last month (May 2005).
Judged by a team of leading industry experts and Bio-IT World magazine editors, the awards programme highlighted products that demonstrate exceptional technology innovation across the life sciences research, discovery, and clinical trials process.
"The judges were very impressed with the robustness and richness of KDE," said John Russell, executive editor, Bio-IT World.
"We also recognised the problem it solves is extremely important, but has not been effectively addressed by life science technology suppliers until now".
InforSense KDE provides a rapid application development and deployment environment for integrative analytics using 'open discovery workflow' technology.
By providing the ability to dynamically integrate multiple heterogeneous data sources, software applications, powerful analytics and visualisations, through a simple to use workflow interface, InforSense enables scientists to express and answer complex cross-domain scientific questions without being burdened by IT infrastructure complexity.
Once built, workflows can be warehoused with full audit trail and rapidly turned into tailored, reusable applications available through web services, portlets or other visual desktop applications.
InforSense KDE has been adopted by world-leading pharmaceutical research organisations to reduce the time to build and manage decision support applications.
Originating from the UK e-Science research programme, InforSense says its 'open discovery workflows' provide the state-of-the-art service oriented informatics environment for business and scientific analytics.
