Millipore and 3M have entered into a supply and distribution agreement for 96-well Multi-SPE extraction plates.
The plates, developed by 3M, will be branded and distributed by Millipore for life science sample preparation applications.

The Multi-SPE extraction plates feature 3M Empore membranes, which produce clean extracts, extend LC-MS/MS column life and decrease instrument downtime.
Jonathan DiVincenzo, vice president of R and D and marketing for Millipore's bioscience division, commented: "SPE is a popular method for our customers, who need to focus on data quality at low detection limits.

The patented plate design coupled with densely-packed sorbent provides consistent recoveries across the plate while minimising solvent use.
The product also contains a graded-density polypropylene pre-filter, which is secured above the extraction disk, to maintain fast and reliable sample flow rates when processing biological fluids.

Multi-SPE extraction plates are automation compatible with a variety of liquid handling and robotic workstations.
This increases throughput and precision, while eliminating manual pipetting steps and the risk of human error.
Suitable for a variety of applications, the Multi-SPE extraction plates are available with five solid phase extraction sorbents.
