Janos Technology, a manufacturer of precision infrared optics and optical assemblies, celebrated the grand opening of its new facility in Keene, New Hampshire with governor John Lynch officiating at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Over 150 local and state dignitaries, media and Janos employees attended the event on Thursday 28 July 2005.
Welcoming speeches were presented by governor Lynch, New Hampshire senator Tom Eaton and Keene mayor Michael Blastos.
Acting president of Janos Technology, Bryan Torcivia and Janos's director of operations, Zsolt Pomazi were joined on the podium by the Monroe president, Phil Haag and Monroe's director of marketing, Mark Lenhart.
Tours of the 3700m2 facility were offered to visitors throughout the day.
The building has the capacity to expand an additional 2500m2 and was creatively designed utilising the latest lean and agile (aka flexible) manufacturing principles with continuous improvement concepts.
The new facility's Class 1000 clean rooms with a Class 100 rating in the assembly areas, the new equipment and Janos's state-of-the-art information system were of particular interest to the afternoon guests.
The newly designed plant will house the company's 80 employees with an additional 15 positions available.
