MWG Biotech announces its 2005 scientist of the year winners for work using company products in oligonucleotides, RNAi, and DNA sequencing
Contestants submitted entries based on their research using MWG's products and service.
The three categories for submission were oligonucleotides, RNAi, and DNA sequencing.
The winning entry received euro750 worth of free MWG products.
This went to Helen Banks, Kennedy Institute, UK, for 'NFKB Gene Regulation in Synviocytes of Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients'.
The two runners up each received euro250 worth of MWG products.
These were Amir Moghaddam of the Furst Medisinsk Laboratorium, Norway, for 'A Rapid Real-time PCR assay for Determination of Hepatitis C Virus Genotypes 1,2, and 3a', and Terra Hessa of Stockholm University, Sweden, for 'Membrane Protein Assembly and Translocation into the ER Membrane'.
