This new line of generators leverages the advances in component speed, D to A conversion and communication technology to offer waveform creation and output capabilities that overcome limitations
Tabor Electronics announces it new introduction, the Wonder Wave series.
The Wonder Wave series expands Tabor's wide line of arbitrary waveform generators and breaks new ground in sample clock speeds, memory and instrument control.
This new line of generators leverages all of the advances in component speed, D to A conversion and communication technology to offer waveform creation and output capabilities that overcome limitations in previous and current products from all vendors.
These digital instruments combine the capabilities and complexity of digital conversion and control with the signal integrity of synthesised analogue generators.
Sample rates from 50MS/s to 1.200GS/s mean wide frequency ranges from 25MHz to 400MHz, making these instruments ideal for many applications in electro-mechanical simulation, communications, and audio and video simulation.
High resolution of 12, 14 or even 16 bits means the Wonder Wave generators are the instrument of choice for narrow-band modulation and creation of complex waveforms with small details superimposed on large signals.
The generating performance is enhanced by the use of ethernet and USB2.0 control interfaces, as well as the traditional, but slow, IEEE-488.
These interfaces allow very fast download of large waveforms.
However, the company says the Wonder Wave series carries on the Tabor tradition of flexible segmentation and sequencing, which allows the customer to maximise the memory in each instrument when building up long and complex signals.
An arbitrary waveform generator is only as useful as the software to program it, and ArbConnection, which is included with each generator, is enhanced to handle the increased sample rates, memory sizes and high-speed control provided by Wonder Wave.
"As all products become smaller and faster, the test equipment needs to keep pace", said Ron Glazer, business development manager at Tabor.
"Wonder Wave will give engineers and production personnel the high-speed capabilities and ease of control features they need in value-priced instruments, continuing the Tabor tradition".
Adding to that, Arlene Meadows, Marketing Manager, Americas: "With the introduction of the Wonder Wave Series of arbitrary generators, with both single and dual channel models available, Tabor is providing breakthrough capabilities at old-fashioned prices for any engineer needing to design, create and output an electrical signal.
