Maco electron microscope films have been introduced to the electron microscope market as direct replacements for both Kodak SO-163 and Kodak 4489 electron microscope film
The two Maco films are photographic film products that have been optimised for the specific application of electron microscopy and are designed to be plug-in replacements for the two existing Kodak films.
But the real advantages of the Maco films, designed as Maco EM and Maco ES, are the possibilities to save substantial sums of money: the prices are roughly half the price of the Kodak products they replace.
One might wonder how this is possible but the answer is very simple, says SPI Supplies: low cost marketing and distribution.
"You will never see full page trade journal advertisements promoting these films or an availability from a broad range of film distributors", the company says.
