Sensors for Water Interest Group workshops will command the attention of anyone involved with the testing or monitoring of water quality, in industry, in rivers, underground or drinking water
Swig (Sensors for Water Interest Group) has announced a series of workshops for the coming year that will command the attention of anyone involved with the testing or monitoring of water quality, whether it be in an industrial process wastewater, in a river, underground or within the drinking water distribution system.
Swig secretary Stuart Newstead, formerly of the Environment Agency, says that he is "Delighted with the blend of different workshops that has been assembled," adding "I hope that the forthcoming programme will be of interest to all sections of our diverse membership and indeed to any others that might only wish to attend one specific workshop.
"Traditionally, a high proportion of Swig event attendees have come from government agencies, instrumentation manufacturers and the water industry, however, environmental legislation, sensor technology and process control are issues that affect almost every industry and this year we are looking to expand the levels of participation even further.
"For example, we will be looking for more delegates from the research sector, and from the pharmaceutical, chemical, food and beverage, and manufacturing industries".
