The Jai CV-A1, an affordable 1.4-megapixel (1392x1040) CCD machine vision camera, features small size, analogue output, and set-up via RS-232C
The CV-A1's analogue output places fewer restrictions on cable length and complexity, and allows smaller-diameter cable to be used, making this camera a good choice for the large existing analog market.
The camera itself measures just 29x44x66mm, features a half-inch progressive scan CCD (Sony ICX205AL), and operates at 16 frames per second.
Like all of Jai's A-series cameras, the CV-A1 eliminates the risk of operator setup error by featuring remote switchless set-up via its RS-232C interface.
This is especially useful for applications in which the camera is located deep inside a system, making regular access difficult.
Its mechanical switches have reduced the failure rate to 100,000 hours MTFB (mean time between failures).
