Serologicals announced that Celliance, its wholly-owned subsidiary, is launching a new Bovine Albumin manufactured exclusively from animals originating in the country of Australia
Probumin Plus Albumin is a high-quality albumin product manufactured from Australian-sourced material.
Celliance has developed this material in order to incorporate the qualities of its premium albumin grades with the benefits of sourcing the raw material from Australia, a country classified as BSE-free (bovine spongiform encephalopathy-free).
"The market has been indicating an interest in a high quality product that originates from a BSE-free country.
"Australian-sourced material provides such a profile and as the largest manufacturer of BSA worldwide, Celliance is able to offer a high quality material to our customers," said David Bellitt, president of Celliance.
Probumin Plus is the latest offering in Celliance's line of bovine albumin products.
Customers will be able to choose by application, by specification and now by material source as Probumin Plus joins the 30 other grades of Albumin that it offers.
Celliance says it strives to provide products of the highest quality and safety through strict material sourcing specifications and proprietary prion and viral clearance processes.
In addition, all Probumin products are screened for adventitious viruses per the 9CFR 113.5(C), cytopathic effects and mycoplasma to eliminate concerns stemming from regulatory and safety issues.
