USB Flash drive support allows the use of low-cost USB memory sticks to unload, control or reprogram multiple loggers
Grant Instruments has introduced the Datataker DT81, the world's first data logger with USB Flash drive support, which allows the use of low-cost USB memory sticks to unload, control or reprogram multiple loggers.
The DT81 is a robust, stand alone, low power and cost-effective data logger.
With support for SDI-12 sensor networks, Modbus for connection to any Scada-based system, and with web-enabled features, the DT81 is suitable for the most challenging environmental or industrial monitoring projects.
The DT81 can store up to five million data points in a secure, non-volatile internal 64MB memory with user control available for multiple data files, overwrite modes, alarm histories and automatically archived event records.
The new logger also provides RS232, ethernet, USB and USB memory stick ports together with modem dial-in and dial-out functions.
TCP/IP is supported enabling communications over a local or wide area network.
The DT81's universal analogue input channels can automatically select measurement ranges based on the signal level.
These channels are isolated and over voltage protected to provide reliable measurements in harsh conditions.
Supported measurement and sensor types include temperature, DC voltage, 4-20mA current loops, resistance, bridges, strain gauges and frequency - all returned in engineering units of the user's choice.
Switchable excitation and triggering are provided on all channels to simplify wiring and installation.
The DT81's universal digital channels include 100kHz counters, input, output and a phase encoder.
Other features include triggers for conditional or event logging and a latching relay output to control or power external devices.
The Datataker DT81 is the latest in a range of data acquisition products on offer from Grant Instruments designed to satisfy the most demanding data collection requirements across industrial, scientific, R+D and environmental applications.
The product range extends from high specification, portable data logging systems (Squirrel family) through to fully integrated custom-configurable acquisition and control systems (Datataker family).
All products come with a three-year warranty.
OEM versions of most products are available on request.
