Grant Instruments has introduced a general-purpose centrifuge for a range of applications in the biomedical, biochemical and life-science applications.
The Grant-bio LMC-3000 general-purpose centrifuge is capable of accommodating a variety of tube sizes as well as microplates.
It features a quiet motor with soft-start and run-own functions, and provides spin speeds of up to 3,000rev/min for tubes and 2,000rev/min for microplates.
Set up for speed and runtime is said to be quick and simple using pushbuttons and an LCD display.
The centrifuge has a robust construction and comes with a three-year warranty.
It is suitable for use in cold rooms and incubators and has an operating temperature range of 4C to 45C.
Interchangeable swinging bucket rotors are available to hold two standard or deep-well microplates, six 50mL tubes with caps and conical bottoms, 12 10/15mL test tubes with no caps and rounded bottoms, or 12 15mL microtubes with conical bottoms.
