Planar Lightwave Circuits (PLC) are winning acceptance as the industry standard platform for optical integration, with increased functionality at low cost
NKT Integration, an independent planar waveguide foundry, and C2V, a supplier of customized OEM solutions in the field of integrated optics and Mems technologies, have established a collaboration to serve their mutual customers with the development and manufacture of customized, integrated, optical components and optical sensors based on planar lightwave circuit technology.
PLC based devices are deployed within telecom networks, in multiplexing, distribution, and optical signal routing; and used in non-telecom applications, such as monitoring devices for homeland security.
As part of this collaboration, the parties will provide their customers with optical design solutions based on NKT Integration's PLC foundry process.
