Ideal for protein binding studies in drug screening, this cryogenically cooled NMR probe observes fluorine tags an order of magnitude faster than conventional probes
Bruker BioSpin introduces a novel 19F CryoProbe for the company's 500 and 600MHz NMR systems.
Ideal for protein binding studies in drug screening, this cryogenically cooled NMR probe observes fluorine tags an order of magnitude faster than conventional probes as a result of significantly higher sensitivity.
The 19F CryoProbe's ability to observe binding activity faster and with smaller quantities delivers a valuable tool to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies working on protein drug development.
Bruker BioSpin is the pioneer in the development of cryogenically cooled probes, which improve the signal-to-noise ratio by of 300% to 400% for high-resolution NMR applications.
With this new CryoProbe, 19F spectra with sample concentrations as low as 10-20uM can be acquired in less than 5 minutes.
The probe is configured with proton decoupling capabilities.
"The improvements obtained with our new Fluorine CryoProbe reflect the excellent performance level that we achieve with our CryoProbes" explains Oskar Schett, managing director of Bruker Biospin in Switzerland.
"Having the experience of over 400 systems installed worldwide helps us to push even further the technical limits thus allowing our customers to obtain more and better results with less sample amount in a shorter time.
"The ability to observe fluorine with the NMR CryoProbe provides many exciting new possibilities for NMR binding studies and metabonomics applications," explained Werner Maas, vice president of research and development for Bruker BioSpin.
"With the addition of this new probe, we now offer a CryoProbe for most high-resolution NMR applications."
