Concept to Volume, a company specialised in analytical instrumentation for life sciences based on micro/nano fluidics technology, announce that Gert-Jan Burger is now VP product development
The management team consists of five experienced managers, each with outstanding and complementary skills and capabilities enabling the realization of the ambitious company goals.
About his reasons to join the management team as VP product development, Gert-Jan Burger said the following: "The challenges of the life science instrumentation area are multifold.
"The enormous increase in exploitable targets requires integration of micro and nanotechnologies and integration of components.
"C2V has the opportunity to capitalise on its proprietary fluidics technology platform Microdelta, and to provide the genomics and proteomics industry with the tools they need in order to move forward.
"Technological progress as well as its scientific application can not be done in isolation, but needs an extensive alignment and partnering of instrumentation companies, which is in-line with the OEM strategy of C2V.
"I am very pleased to serve in the management team of C2V to assist in bringing its Microdelta platform into a reality for analytical instrumentation and to support the promising life science developments".
The extension of the management team comes at a moment when C2V is focusing into the life sciences instrumentation area.
Key instruments and components are pico LC (liquid chromatography), nano MS (mass spectrometry), micro electrophoresis, and micro GC (gas chromatography).
The market introduction of the GCM2200 micro GC module is planned in the first quarter of 2005.
With the GCM2200, C2V will help their customers to considerably increase the speed and the effectiveness of their analysis process.
