C2V announced the appointment in November 2002 of Marcel Klein Koerkamp as COO, with a focus on analytical instrumentation for life sciences
Until recently, Marcel Klein Koerkamp was managing director of JDS Uniphase Photonics.
Dr Klein Koerkamp brings unique experience in the production and product development of micro system technology based components and subsystems.
These competencies and capabilities are pursuant to C2V's aggressive growth scenario.
Klein Koerkamp will guide further growth in the production, development and design activities of C2V.
"We are very excited to extend our C2V management team and welcome Klein Koerkamp as leader of our experienced team of integrated optics and Mems engineers" said Job Elders, CEO of C2V.
"Marcel's specific experience, in his time at JDSU, where his division developed and built production facilities for innovative integrated optical components such as switches and attenuators, is the perfect fit for our organization.
C2V has in-house Mems manufacturing capabilities and a world class design team active in telecom components (serving Alcatel Optronics), security devices, process control and medical applications.
C2V opens the access barriers to successful micro engineered product implementations.
C2V emerged as the result of a management buy-out of Alcatel Optronics Netherlands.
C2V unites a unique combination of competencies based on the skill-sets of the world's first software and design services company in integrated optics, BBV (1992), and Mems-engineering based on the first ISO 9001 certified micro system product supplier, TMP (1995).
