C2V in November 2002 renewed its collaboration with SensoNor, one of the world's leading designers and volume producer of sensors and devices based on Mems technology
C2V will act as a design partner and complementary service provider, providing concept, design and prototyping services for SensoNor.
"This agreement is of great strategic value to us", according to the CEO of C2V, Job Elders.
"SensoNor will be added to our group of strategic foundry partners.
"Because we are fully aware of their design rules and possibilities, we are able to design for manufacturability and high volume production".
Established in 1985 in Horten Norway, SensoNor is today one of the world's leading designers and volume producer of sensors and devices based on silicon micromechanical technology (Mems).
It is unique in the fact that in addition to its own multi-disciplined Mems design team the company has its own waferfab and high volume backend production and test facilities.
Through its design and foundry service the company is supplying a growing customer base with Mems devices for the growing optical telecommunications market and biomedical market.
SensoNor maintains an ongoing R+D programme thus ensuring that the company maintains its position as a global market leader in the innovation, design and production of Mems based silicon sensors and devices for a wide variety of applications.
SensoNor is one of a very few companies with proven high volume capabilities to QS 9000 standards.
