The leading autoclave and steriliser manufacturer Astell Scientific has spent 12 years perfecting a full colour touchscreen controller, to improve the cycle parameters on their range, and it is now fitted on all their equipment.
Astell Scientific is a leading manufacturer and supplier of laboratory, pharmaceutical and hospital autoclaves, sterilisers, steam generators and effluent decontamination systems.
Drawing on over a hundred years of experience of design and development in this field they have now announced the latest innovation, a full colour touchscreen autoclave controller now fitted as standard to all models in their range.
This 5.7 inches wipe-clean touchscreen is based on an industrial PLC system, combined with a number of analogue and digital input/output modules and proprietary software developed for the precision control of all Astell autoclaves and sterilisers.
This controller is designed to improve both the management and speed of load cycles, with features such as an icon driven menu system, simple cycle selection, customisable access levels with password protection, a delayed start facility and multiple language options.
The Astell controller permits full customisation of cycle parameters, improving safety and efficiency and allowing users to achieve optimum suitability, with sterilisation cycles monitored as they take place, thereby allowing live progress updates, and clear warning messages. Data from 5000 cycles can be stored and viewed, or even downloaded via the integrated USB port.
