Since 1968 Cecil Instruments has developed a long line of analytical instruments that can be used in a vast variety of analytical chemistry contexts, including water analysis.
Perhaps the fastest and easiest of techniques to use is UV/Visible spectrophotometry. Cecil Instruments offer the multilingual AquaQuest range of spectrophotometers that are specially pre-programmed for water and effluent testing. They can, of course, be used for other laboratory applications too.
The stand-alone AquaQuest spectrophotometers with optional PC control provide for fast and easy and reliable measurements, says the company.
They may be used with a vast range of accessories, are user programmable with large secured memories, and are instantly expandable with powerful E-SEF software packages.
With an ever-increasing focus on the detection of multi-ranges of contaminants and pollutants, to higher sensitivities of detection, analytical chemists are placed under increasing pressures.

Despite the wide capabilities of UV/Visible spectrophotometry, there are times when other techniques have to be used.
Cecil Instruments aims to relieve those pressures with the use of HPLC and ion chromatography instrumentation.
The company offers a wide range of modular high-pressure mixing in the Adept HPLC collection. In addition, modular low-pressure mixing quaternary HPLC is offered in the Q-Adept HPLC range.
The new Merit HPLC systems offer affordability and ease of use, especially for production/monitoring station settings.
The WaveQuest UV/Visible ultra fast scanning HPLC Detector can be used for both qualitative and quantitative analysis. It offers, says Cecil Instruments, the advantages of a diode array detector, without the disadvantages.
Detailed spectral scans and highly sensitive quantitative analyses may be performed simultaneously in the same elution. The detector also eliminates the need for two different types of UV/Visible HPLC detector.
The IonQuest conductivity detector has high sensitivities and exceptionally ultra-low drift and may be added to third party HPLC systems, forming the basis of the Cecil modular IonQuest ion chromatography systems.
With the additional options of AutoQuest auto sampling, column heater/chillers, a wide range of detectors, post column reactors and customised configurations, EPA compliance is available.
