TEL is supporting the professional development of laboratory electrical contractors and users with the launch of a new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme.
Temperature Electronics Ltd (TEL) have over 45 years of experience in developing electronic airflow controls. Close co-operation with fume cupboard manufacturers and laboratory companies internationally has led to the continued refinement of airflow monitor and control design to meet ever-changing safety legislation requirements.
Specifically the growing need for energy efficiency and cost savings has meant the introduction of energy saving solutions for both new and existing laboratories, as well as industrial kitchens and other industrial working environments where controlling airflow is vital.
Now TEL is further helping the industry by supporting the professional development of laboratory electrical contractors and users with the launch of a new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme.
The aim is to assist contractors and users of laboratory fume cupboard airflow controls and monitors in the selection of the optimal products and then to install, operate and maintain them efficiently.
The CPD can be accessed via the ‘Knowledge Base’ section of TEL’s website and participants can study the material and test their knowledge at their convenience, gaining CPD points along the way. The initial CPD course concerns the effective installation, operation and maintenance of TEL’s SM6 Airflow Sensor. Further courses will come online over the coming months. As company director Richard Eady says:
“TEL has almost 50 years’ experience – both as a consultant as well as a manufacturer - and the new CPD programme provides a means of sharing this with our customers, supporting them in their professional development and making their jobs easier.”
