Biopharma Group is collaborating with University College London (UCL) and the University of Limerick via PMTC to offer some additional training courses in freeze drying.
The rising popularity of freeze-drying across industries including pharmaceutical, bioprocessing, nutraceutical, and food processing has resulted in a similar increase in the need for training in the technology.
Events at UCL and PMTC will be held on March 31st and June 3rd – 5th, 2020 respectively. The one day ‘Freeze Drying & Hands-on Worksop’ at UCL’s Biochemical Engineering site in London will cover the fundamentals of freeze-drying with presentations by Dr. Kevin Ward, Dr. Paul Dalby (UCL) & Dr. Lourdes Velez Suberie (UCL) as well as an introduction by SP Scientific’s Leslie Mather to the LyoStar3, ControLyo, and SMART Technology along with demonstrations Biopharma’s analytical instruments, Lyostat & Lyotherm. A brochure for the events which costs £595, can be downloaded here or book your place by visiting the booking form page of the Biopharma Group website.
At University of Limerick via PMTC, there will be the option to attend either a one-day ‘Lyo in a Day’ theoretical introduction to the technology for €330 (student rate is €110) OR a three-day seminar which will include keynote speaker slots along with a two-day lab and classroom-based ‘Fundamentals of Lyophilisation – Best Practices & Applications’ following on from the ‘Lyo in a Day’ introduction day. The three day combined seminar will be available for €1995 including a dinner for attendees of the full three-day event. Booking will be via PMTC (ask whether you or your organisation qualify for any subsidies or discounts). To receive more details, please register your interest here.
