Priorclave’s range of autoclaves is designed to accommodate all shapes as well as sizes of load, ensuring customers don’t struggle with ‘large’ when they actually need ‘tall’.
A ‘large autoclave’ tends to be one with a chamber 26 inches in diameter or larger – devices that could easily accommodate an average-sized person. Priorclave has found that some labs requesting large instruments aren’t actually looking to sterilise loads in the region of 320L. Rather, they want to process tall flasks, fermentors, or bioreactors requiring extra headroom, but constituting no more than 20L
Such loads can be processed much more efficiently a top-loading autoclave such as the Priorclave Vertical 150L. Even the company’s smallest top-loader, the portable Priorclave Vertical 60L, will accommodate a large variety of tall containers. As well as accommodating tall bioreactors, flasks, and fermentors with easy, they are suitable for large-batch waste loads.
The company’s 320L model can sterilize hundreds of test tubes or small flasks in a single pass, but for those looking for height rather than volume, there is more than one way to be a ‘large autoclave’.
