ChemSW demonstrated a series of enhancements to its STIS sample tracking and inventory system, enterprise version, at Pittcon 2003
The system can now accurately track samples that are sent for off-site testing, providing complete management of all samples, regardless of their location.
ChemSW also now offers a non-21 CFR Part 11 version, for users beyond the pharmaceutical industry who don't require the electronic signature functionality.
STIS is ideal for a wide range of applications including environmental, analytical chemistry, chemical processing and petrochemical.
The system may also be tightly integrated with ChemSW's CISPro CIS chemical inventory system for the tracking of samples taken from inventory for testing.
With enhanced test definitions, users can precisely track samples undergoing multiparameter tests.
Multiple documents, such as SOPs or certificates of analysis, are now linked to each sample so that all information on a particular sample is tracked, updated, and kept together.
New total volume calculation functions report on all volumes of each sample on site, regardless of location.
"STIS is a sophisticated and widely accepted sample tracking program," explains Brian Stafford, president of ChemSW.
"We are continually working with customers and prospective customers to add functionality to the system to keep up with changing application needs".
