Horus drying and film formation analyser generates information relating to the solvent evaporation, coalescence stage, open time, touch dry and dry through stages of the process
Fullbrook Systems has introduced the Horus film formation and drying analyser.
The Horus offers a unique insight into the drying mechanism of solvent and water based materials.
It generates information relating to the solvent evaporation, coalescence stage, open time, touch dry and dry through stages of the process.
The Horus can be applied to clear and pigmented systems and measures through into the product rather than just the surface.
The depth of penetration for paints, for example, is around 100um to 500um depending on the nature of the sample.
The non instrusive optical detection system measures the rate of movement of the particles within the product under test.
As the product goes through the various drying stages the movement of the particle gradually decreases until the material is dry and the movement stops.
The Horus can be used to measure any film forming or drying material, the list is endless, it offers information that was previously unavailable.
