Falco Systems announces the release of the WMA-300, a wide bandwidth, high voltage laboratory amplifier for driving electrostatic Mems
With +150 and -150V output voltage, a DC -5MHz full-power bandwidth and an extremely fast 2000V/us slew rate, the WMA-300 is said to be the highest speed linear amplifier currently available for Mems actuation.
Mems devices with high resonance frequencies can benefit from the wide bandwidth of the Falco Systems WMA-300, because they can now be actuated at their full speed.
However, the price (euro2150- excl VAT) is such that it is also a good choice for lower speed high voltage Mems measurements.
Due to its clever dual feedback system, it is perfectly stable and generates no overshoot with any capacitive load.
It is also fully protected against output short-circuiting.
The WMA-300 is the perfect choice high voltage amplifier to use with comb drive actuators, cantilever beams, RF Mems switches, and other electrostatically actuated Mems.
Furthermore it can be used with other devices requiring high voltage driver signals: EO-modulators, PZT (piezo-) transducers, ultrasonic systems, and many more.
Falco Systems manufactures measurement electronics for Mems research.
