Available for 500ml, 900ml and 1000ml tests, the new style probe has an inert twist-lock housing which safely contains a standard VanKel-style cannula filter
SMI-Labhut are pleased to introduce a revolutionary new type of sample cannula for dissolution testing - the Hi-Cap high capacity sampling cannula.
This new cannula offers the user increased capacity combined with ease of use, and can be used in all brands of dissolution bath.
Available for 500ml, 900ml and 1000ml tests, the new style probe has an inert twist-lock housing which safely contains a standard VanKel-style cannula filter.
The surface area of this type of filter is more than seven times that of the small filter disk traditionally used in this style of probe.
The fact that filters used in the Hi-Cap are identical in size to those used with standard VanKel cannulae means that the same filters can be used for different dissolution baths, offering the customer increased flexibility.
The filters are available in a variety of porosities including 10, 35, 45 and 70um.
The Hi-Cap's thin low volume stainless steel cannula can remain in the vessel during the dissolution test without affecting the dissolution result, which removes the need for an automated probe lift.
The cannula sits in the vessel cover and samples from the same position every time.
Different length Hi-Cap cannulae are available for 500, 900 and 1000ml tests.
