Acrongenomics and Molecular Vision focus on providing low-cost, easy to use and readily portable point-of-care devices for medical testing that will give accurate diagnosis in minutes
Acrongenomics and Molecular Vision report that due to the rapid progress of research and development, the BioLED technology platform has been rapidly adapted for chemiluminescence and fluorescence detection.
Therefore two portable demonstrator devices are planned to be presented to a selected audience at the Imperial College's Bioincubator building in London, where MVL is situated, on 8 March 2007.
"Chemiluminescence and fluorescence detection are particularly attractive for portable microfluidic assays and will bring us one step closer towards the realisation of disposable detection systems for point-of-care diagnostics" says Manos Topoglidis, CTO of Acrongenomics.
