Sputtering targets from Goodfellow are available in 62 different metals and alloys and compounds such as borides, carbides, fluorides, nitrides, oxides, selenides, silicides, sulphides, and tellurides
In addition, the surfaces of flat sheets up to 80x400mm can be heat treated, remelted, or alloyed using a continuous thermal process.
Thin layers of metals or oxides can also be melted onto the surface.
This process is especially suited for the creation of double-layer sheets and foils, or for ceramic superconductors on metallic or ceramic substrates, and for the creation of thin layers of solder on metals.
In general, targets are made to order, but a number are held in stock along with an extensive range of items suitable for evaporation.
Goodfellow is the North American subsidiary of Goodfellow Cambridge, and specializes in supplying small quantities (a few grams to a few kilos) of metals and materials for research or prototype development.
