Aspectanalyser is the latest plug-in application to AnalyserPro, developed for use in the flavour and fragrance industries where an analogue channel is triggered manually to record the elution of fragrant components from a GC column.
This is then integrated with the MS data to provide the GC/MS-Sniff analysis.
It may also be used where an FID (flame ionisation detector) has been added to a GC/MS or an UV detector to a LC/MS system.
Purity analysis based on GC-FID and LC-UV data can be integrated into the MS acquisition for pharmaceutical analysis and synthetic chemistry.
Quantitative data can be derived from the UV or FID data channel, including the use of internal standards and this is aligned with the qualitative information provided by the relevant MS analysis.
Judith van den Berg from the analysis department at Cosun Food Technology Centre in the Netherlands uses Aspectanalyser for the analysis of flavours.

Data file formats from the major MS vendors, such as Agilent, ThermoFisher and Waters are supported as well as generic formats such a netCDF and a number of smaller and legacy data system formats.
