Activotec has released a brochure for its Activo-P11 Peptide Synthesiser.
To increase coupling efficiency for difficult or long sequences Activotec has introduced reactor heating on the Activo-P11.
Peptide wizard software that prompts users enables rapid definition of protocols.
Cycle times of 30 minutes per coupling are now possible and even long peptides can be synthesised with true walk-away automation.
Disposable reactors and amino-acid containers aid easy installation, removal and maintenance.
Combining compatibility with a range of commercially available resins and reagents, plus the ability to perform a range of Fmoc and t-Boc chemistries, the Activo-P11 is able to synthesise peptides in the 0.1 to 2.0mmol scale.
The brochure also describes the Activo-P12 - a peptide cleavage device for use with the Activo-P11.
The Activo-P12 has been designed to directly accept the disposable reactor from the Activo-P11.
In this way the Activo-P11 can be maintained in the lab, while cleavage/deprotection procedures can be performed on the P12 in a fume hood.
