Falco Systems has launched the WMA-280 amplifier, modelled after the WMA-300 high speed, high voltage amplifier introduced in 2007.
The WMA-280 is an ultra-low noise, precision, high voltage laboratory amplifier for designed for demanding applications.
It features voltage precision at 20.0x amplification +/- 0.1 per cent, noise output at 300 microvolt rms and a voltage range of -150-+150V.
The bandwidth of the amplifier is DC - 100 kHz.
The WMA-280 can be used for precise positioning of MEMS devices (micromachines), with EO-modulators, as piezo driver, beam steering components, ultrasonics, and more.
The offset and noise specifications of the amplifier are such that, with typical electrostatically actuated MEMS and piezo positioners, sub-atomic positioning accuracy can be achieved easily.
The amplifier can be used both differentially (for lowest interference) and with its standard BNC input connector, so that it can be interfaced with all common voltage sources and generators.
