Quality Measurement Solutions has announced a new range of laboratory equipment, the QMS Rotary Plater and the QMS IV and Suspension Bag Mixer.
The QMS Rotary Platers are for the rapid plating out of bacteria with the minimum of splatter and cross contamination.
For colony separation techniques the RP 453 with its 60rpm turntable is recommended, while the RP 454 rotates at 150rpm for phage typing and antibiotic sensitivity.
Both have foot switches that free up hands for processing plates.
The rotary platers measure 150x155x100mm, weigh 1.4kg and come with a 12-month warranty.
The QMS IV and Suspension Bag Mixer was designed to assist in the prevention of RSI, although its application is endless where mixing large volumes of samples and other mediums is required.
The mixer is capable of taking bags with a capacity of up to 3 litres.
The mixing container is made from autoclaveable, anodised aluminium and incorporates an easy to open/close catch mechanism.
The mixing speed is variable from 3-30rpm and gives consistent smooth mixing.
Its overall dimensions measure 540x450x410mm, it weighs 10kg and also comes with a 12-month warranty.
