Labmedics has launched the Aquakem 600 Prime analyser, which incorporates fluidic, mechanical and electronic technology and has been developed for the analysis of water and environmental samples.
With its built-in PC and touchscreen Aquakem 600 offers analytical rates of up to 600 tests per hour and is suitable for the higher throughput laboratory.
The compact Aquakem now comprises three models.
The 200 achieves analytical rates of up to 180 tests per hour and the 250 up to 250 tests an hour.
Types of matrices analysed include clean water, wastewater and soil/sludge digests.
Nutrient analysis includes ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, TON, chloride and sulphate.
An added option is a cadmium reduction module for nitrate analysis.
The random access analysers also have automatic start-up and shut down protocols for true 'walk away' analysis.
No reagent priming is required, enabling results from the first sample to be available within minutes of starting the analysis.
Aquakem has been designed for minimum reagent consumption and low operating costs.
The low-volume, multicell cuvette provides true discrete analysis virtually eliminating carryover.
Typical total reaction volumes of between 100ul and 200ul per test result in low reagent costs.
