QBC Europe is introducing three parameters to its point-of-care haematology range.
The range, including the Star and Autoread Plus haematology systems, uses Buffy Coat analysis technology, with Acridine Orange as a fluorescent medium.
Star and Autoread currently measure the clinically significant parameters most requested by physicians: haematocrit (HCT), haemoglobin (HB), MCHC, platelet count, white blood cell count (WBC), granulocyte count, granulocyte percentage, lymphocyte/monocyte count and lymphocyte/monocyte percentage.
The calculated parameters RBC, MCV and MCH will be available on updated Autoread and Star systems, and existing systems will be able to upgrade via a software cartridge or disc.
Features of the QBC range include point-of-care technology, venous or capillary sample, no liquid waste or reagents and no user maintenance.
QBC Europe is now seeking business partners to distribute the full QBC range in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, and will be exhibiting at Achema 2009.
