JPK Instruments has announced the launch of the Forcerobot system designed to automate force spectroscopy and make the process available to a broad range of scientists.
It features a rigid head design with good low-noise and drift specifications, mounted on an integrated vibration isolated platform.
It is able to run unattended to make up to 80,000 force curve measurements in 24 hours with the ability to customise individual experiments with varying parameters, such as temperature or loading rate.
Open software design enables flexibility in establishing measurement and analysis protocols.
The system may be monitored remotely enabled through an internet interface.
Manual operation has prevented such a large measurement capacity and by having this combinatorial-like ability to screen different samples under well-controlled experimental conditions is advantageous.
