Radleys has brought out the Carousel 12 Plus Reaction Station, an enhanced version of the Carousel 12 Reaction Station for productive organic synthesis.
The Carousel 12 Plus Reaction Station can simultaneously heat or cool, stir and reflux up to 12 samples (1-20ml) under an inert atmosphere.
A removable reflux and gas-distribution head can be easily transferred, with tubes in situ, between the Carousel 12 Plus's heated base, cooling reservoir or support stand.
This provides users with a versatile system for heated and cooled reactions.
It operates from ambient to 180C (220C for shorter periods) with accurate temperature control of +/- 0.1C.
A cooling reservoir enables the Carousel 12 Plus to perform sub-ambient reactions (-78C).
A new fluoropolymer insulation plate that sits over the heated base acts as a barrier to heat loss; this allows the Carousel 12 Plus to heat up faster, while using one third of the energy of its predecessor.
Viewing slots in the heated base provide users with an excellent view of the contents and stirring performance of the reaction tubes.
The circular design of the Carousel 12 Plus allows users to easily rotate the unit, providing access to all tubes without having to lean into the fumehood.
The small benchtop footprint of the Carousel 12 Plus makes it suitable for laboratories where fumehood space is limited.
The Carousel 12 Plus is protected by its easy to clean and chemically resistant fluoropolymer coating.
